In November 2015 Frank Markowitsch will rehearse Haydn`s Missa Sancti Bernardi de Offida with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir for a concert with Ton Koopman. The concert will be on November 7th in Liverpool.
Frank Markowitsch has been collaborating with Ton Koopman already for a long time and in 2012 he took over the direction of the Amsterdam Baroque Choir. This ensemble – together with the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and his artistic leader Ton Koopman – is considered as one of the finest ensembles for historically informed practice. The conductor regularly invites Frank Markowitsch to rehearse with the choirs before his own concerts, as in this case the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir. The choir can look back on a tradition of 150 years and – being a lay choir – constantly performs at the highest level.
