Following his successful collaboration in Paris last year with Accentus and choir director Laurence Equilbey, Frank Markowitsch will once again have the responsibility of preparing the choir for a large oratorio: “The Creation” by Joseph Haydn. On 16 December, the French Chamber Choir and the Orchestre de chambre de Paris will be conducted by Douglas Boyd in the Philharmonie de Paris. The soloists will be Mari Eriksmoen (soprano), Toby Spence (tenor), and Daniel Schmutzhard (baritone).

Frank Markowitsch will bring a program of Christmas music to Potsdam’s Nikolaisaal on 22 and 23 December: a one-hour version for children of J.S. Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio” with the Vokalakademie Berlin and the Prometheus Ensemble Berlin. Stage direction for this exceptional performance will be by Sascha von Donat.
