Frank Markowitsch and René Jacobs have worked together for many years, and their collaboration is being continued during the current season. Since the end of February, Markowitsch has been in charge of preparing the choirs for a series of concert performances of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Così fan tutte with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra under Jacobs’s direction. In addition to working with the Vokalakademie Berlin for the performances on 26 February in Freiburg and 22 April in Cologne, Markowitsch is also responsible for the performances with the Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana (24 April in Barcelona), the National Korean Opera Chorus (28 April in Seoul), and the Shanghai Opera Chorus (30 April in Shanghai).
