The Vokalakademie will perform at the renowned Klarafestival together with the ensemble Le Cercle de l’Harmonie. The concert will be conducted by Jérémie Rhorer.

The Klarafestival is a distinguished international music festival that, from the historically informed practice, strives for an original alternative for the performance of classical, romantic, modern and contemporary music. The Klarafestival also takes up its role as a guiding artistic platform using cross-genre projects as well as its own creations.

The whole program of the festival with renowned musicians such as Vladimir Jurowski and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, René Jacobs and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Rundfunkchor Berlin under the baton of Nicolas Fink, the Monteverdi Choir under John Eliot Gardiner, the Collegium Vocale Gent conducted by Philippe Herrweghe and many more interesting artists can be found on www.klarafestival.be.

Since 2011 the Klarafestival explores different aspects of human existence in the performed repertoire. The 2016 festival edition is conceived as a collage of universal stories about the passion of humans and the compassion they have for their fellow human beings, using as a starting point religious and spiritual music. The Vokalakademie and Le Cercle de l’Harmonie will perform Schubert’s Stabat Mater.
